Need to repair a leaky housesold radiator, hot water system?
We have an 80+ year old house with a hot water heating system. One of our radiators has developed a pinhole and is leaking water onto the floor. Is there any way to repair this as a DIYer?
You will have to shut down the boiler, then release the pressure from the reserve tank and turn the recirculating pump off. This is the safest way. If you can turn off the recirculating pump off and there's no pressure, fine. Or if you have a turn off

Cold water on a hot engine? The metal "ping" you hear will be the sound of heads cracking, and that's good for a repair bill in the thousands. Reach Douglas E. Jessmer at (727) 893-8610 or at djessmer@sptimes.com. ~ Douglas ~ Jessmer ~ ' s recent do
