How to replace defroster on Honda Accord rear window?

I have a 1998 Honda Accord with a rear window defroster that still works but the window is hard to see through. Over the years the defroster "sheet" has become opaque is there way to remove this and install another one? Or would it be cheaper

The traces are on the inside of the glass. You get them off just like you would get a big label off. With a scraper. Then you can install an new defroster using the old wires. It's just like putting a big decal on the inside of the window.
