You can post a notice at your local slot car race track, or go to the hobby store where they sell the supplies, and ask the manager if he knows of anyone.

This was at a practice for the 1979 Indianapolis 500. Linda Vaughn would hang around the pit area in her role as an "ambassador" to the sport (Miss Hurst Golden Shifter). I don't remember the role of her "assistant", but does it matter?
