Where is the ground located for my 2002 Ford Focus antenna/radio?
I am getting nothing but static with the radio and have replaced the antenna base and antenna. Now I think maybe the ground is dirty/loose causing me to get reception for 3 seconds then static for 20 secs. Trying to find where the ground is grounded.
usually its grounded to the frame ..... typically this is a green wire. Wouldn't' know without a wiring diagram. now to be honest the Antenna should not be grounded unless it's an automatic antenna. Grounding the antenna will result in feedback noise

It should be noted that if you run your power wires in conduit (like I did) they will not fit under the lower trim panel. If you go this route, push them into the channel under the flooring (vinyl in my case).
This temporary mounting location was selected because it is safe and out of the way (after further thought, we've decided we like the radio here and will be fabricating the custom storage shelf around this location to provide proper ventilation, protection, and keep the radio out of sight). This...
